Holographic manipulation of femtosecond laser pulses for material processing


Holography is very useful to manipulate femtosecond laser pulses for material processing with high throughout and high light-use efficiency. A computer-generated hologram (CGH) displayed on a spatial light modulator (SLM) offers an arbitrary spatial shaping of the pulses.

Yi-Hao Chen Award Candidate Plasmonic Metasurface for Color Hologram


We design an aluminum-based phase-modulated multi-color meta-hologram (MCMH) that is polarization-dependent and capable of producing images in three primary colors (red, green and blue). It has the structure of patterned aluminum nanorods which have surface plasmon resonances in these three colors controlled by different lengths of rods.

Fan-Hsi Hsu Award Candidate Proposal of Radially and Azimuthally Holographic Polarizers


A novel design of radially and azimuthally holographic polarizers were proposed for the first time which can generate a cylindrical vector beam. With separately exposure, this kind of element is consisted of several radially arranged fan-shaped volume holograms. Therefore, it has all merits of conventional substrate-mode volume holographic elements.

Shu-Yu Chen Award Candidate Fabrication of 3D Photonic Crystal Structure Using Double Exposure Lithography


In the paper, we proposed a new technique to fabricate the 3D photonic crystal structure using double exposure process with ±45° angle. The advantage of the technique is fast and lower cost with in large area manufacture. In optical experiment, we will demonstrate our preliminary results.

Chung-Mou Hsu Award Candidate Lens array applied to holographic data storage system


In this paper, we using lens array applied in holographic data storage system. Improve the signal to noise ratio of image in process of reading. Lens array combined with Reed-Solomon/sparse code to achieve data storage.
