Optical Design of LED Omnidirectional Bulb
A diffusion white reflection sheet (DWRS) with an array of hole is proposed as a high efficiency solution for modulating lambertian profile with LED to meet omnidirectional bulb specification. The hole size is adjusted with fixed hole pitch to maximize the efficiency. The prototype demonstrates the efficiency to reach 87.6%.

Skew Freeform Design for 2D illumination
An algorithm was proposed to design 2D freeform reflector via using skew freeform design model. The method is to locally solve differential equation characterized the flux transformation in angular-spatial domain without restriction on target distribution and geometrical. The results for “O” pattern on target distribution will be demonstrated by ray tracing of freeform surface.

Using asymmetric area division light uniform system with LEDs source for DLP projector
The lens array as an integral device and LED as a light source are the illumination system of DLP projector. Using lens array to split this light shape will bring numerous new light sources. Finally, we complete uniform illumination system of projector, it’s called light uniform system of area division.

Design of Light-Condensing Structure Used for Multi-Parametric Physiological Monitoring Sensor
In this study, we developed a light-condensing structure with elliptical reflector for multi-parametric physiological monitoring sensor to increase the PPG SNR and reliability. The monitoring sensor optical efficiency is around 65%. Comparing with wearable products (without an optical structure; optical efficiency: 35%), its optical efficiency has increased around 1.8 times more.

Reduce Volume of Head-Up Display by Virtual Image Stitching
We proposed a HUD including micro-projectors, rear-projection screen, microlens array (MLA) and realized a 14 inches image on the windshield. We want to use the MLA to reduce the volume by virtual image stitching. We used digital light processing (DLP) as our image source due to its brighter image output required.

Virtual Mouse Using 3D Finger Position Detection Optical System Based on Microlens Array and Photosensor
In this paper, a 3D position detection system based on IR photosensor, microlens array, and IR source is proposed. It is implemented mainly aiming at the application of high resolution and compact volume 3D virtual mouse on mobile devices. In this system, resolution higher than 25ppi can be achieved over the entire working area.
